Tullibardine

Highland, Scotland · 1949'den beri

Tullibardine is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky distillery nestled in Blackford, a small town in Perthshire, Scotland. Designed by the renowned distillery architect William Delme-Evans, the distillery was built in 1949 on a site with a remarkably deep brewing heritage stretching back to 1488, when it supplied ale to the court of King James IV. This historical continuity gives Tullibardine a unique sense of place among Scottish distilleries. The distillery has had a turbulent journey: it changed hands several times and lay silent between 1994 and 2003 before being revived by a group of private investors. In 2011, it was acquired by Picard Vins & Spiritueux, a French wine and spirits group, whose influence is clearly felt in the distillery's signature wine cask finishing program. Expressions such as Sovereign, Sauternes, Burgundy, and Château showcase whiskies finished in prestigious wine barrels, lending the spirit a distinctly elegant, fruit-forward character. The core Highland style of Tullibardine is defined by gentle sweetness, floral aromas, and soft orchard fruit notes, making it an approachable yet nuanced dram that rewards patient exploration.
