Vegas Robaina is a Cuban cigar brand launched in 1997 by Habanos S.A., bearing the name of one of the most revered tobacco-growing families in the Vuelta Abajo region of Pinar del Río. Don Alejandro Robaina, the patriarch of the family, spent decades cultivating some of the finest wrapper and filler leaves in all of Cuba, earning a reputation that transcended borders. He was the only living tobacco farmer to have a Habanos brand named in his honor — a distinction that speaks volumes about the esteem in which he was held by the industry.
