Speyside Distillery sits in the heart of Scotland's celebrated Speyside region, nestled near the village of Drumguish in the upper reaches of the Spey valley. Though it officially began production in 1990, the distillery's story stretches back to the late 1950s, when entrepreneur George Christie first conceived the project. What followed was one of the most patient and protracted construction stories in Scotch whisky history — a labour of love spanning several decades before the first spirit finally flowed. The distillery operates on a small, almost artisanal scale, relying on traditional copper pot stills to craft single malts that are characteristically light, floral, and gently fruity. Its core expressions, including the Drumguish and the Speyside single malts, reflect the clean, soft waters of the Spey and the temperate Highland climate.
