Roe & Co is a blended Irish whiskey brand launched in 2017 by Diageo, drawing its name and inspiration from George Roe & Co, one of the most prominent distilleries in 19th-century Dublin. George Roe operated a vast distillery on Thomas Street that, at its peak, rivalled even the famous Jameson operation in scale and output. The modern incarnation of the brand seeks to honour that legacy while embracing a contemporary, cocktail-forward identity. The whiskey itself is crafted from a blend of pot still and grain whiskeys, aged primarily in first-fill bourbon casks, which impart notes of vanilla, ripe orchard fruit, and a gentle warmth on the finish. Its approachable, smooth profile makes it a natural fit behind the bar, and it has earned recognition among bartenders and mixologists across Europe and beyond.
