Maker's Mark
Kentucky, USA · 1953'den beri
Maker's Mark was founded in 1953 by Bill Samuels Sr. in Loretto, Kentucky, with a deliberate departure from the harsh, grain-forward bourbons of the era. Samuels swapped rye for red winter wheat in the mash bill, giving the whisky its signature soft, sweet, and approachable character. Every barrel is rotated by hand within the aging warehouse to ensure consistency, and every bottle is hand-dipped in the brand's iconic red wax seal — a tradition that has endured for decades. The distillery at Star Hill Farm is one of the few in the United States to be designated a National Historic Landmark. Acquired by Beam Suntory, Maker's Mark has grown into a globally recognized bourbon, yet it retains a strong sense of craft identity. Its expressions, from the classic white label to the Maker's 46 with French oak staves, offer a range that appeals to both newcomers and seasoned bourbon enthusiasts alike.
