Jameson was founded in 1780 by John Jameson in Dublin and has since grown into the world's best-selling Irish whiskey. Originally distilled at the Bow Street Distillery in the heart of Dublin, production was consolidated at the Midleton Distillery in County Cork in 1975, where the whiskey continues to be crafted today. The hallmark of Jameson's character lies in its triple distillation process, a tradition deeply rooted in Irish whiskey making that yields a notably smooth and approachable spirit. As a blended Irish whiskey, it combines pot still whiskey — made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley — with grain whiskey, resulting in a profile of gentle orchard fruits, vanilla, toasted wood, and a subtle spice.
