Glenlossie Distillery was founded in 1876 by John Duff near the village of Birnie, close to Elgin in the heart of Speyside, Scotland. Nestled at the foot of the Mannoch Hills, it draws its process water from the clear streams of the Gedloch Burn. One of the distillery's most defining characteristics is the use of purifiers fitted to its spirit stills — a relatively rare piece of equipment that returns heavier congeners back for redistillation, resulting in an exceptionally light, floral, and clean spirit. The vast majority of Glenlossie's production flows into Diageo's blended Scotch portfolio, most notably as a key component in the Haig blends. As a single malt, it surfaces primarily through the classic Flora & Fauna bottling series and occasional independent releases. Delicate orchard fruit, fresh meadow flowers, and a gentle cereal backbone define its character — a quietly refined Speyside expression that rewards patience and attention.
