GlenAllachie is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distillery founded in 1967 by renowned architect William Delmé-Evans, situated near Aberlour in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. For decades it operated largely in the background, supplying malt whisky for blends under the Chivas Brothers umbrella. The distillery's story changed dramatically in 2017 when legendary master distiller Billy Walker — the man behind the celebrated revivals of BenRiach and GlenDronach — acquired it alongside business partners. Walker brought his signature philosophy: meticulous cask selection, patient maturation, and an unwavering respect for traditional craft. The result is a whisky of remarkable depth and complexity, offering rich notes of dark fruit, chocolate, toffee, and warming spice. GlenAllachie's single cask releases, matured in Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso, Marsala, and Rioja casks among others, have garnered a devoted following among whisky enthusiasts worldwide. In a relatively short time, the distillery has firmly established itself as one of the most exciting independent voices in contemporary Speyside whisky.
