Dalmunach

Dalmunach is a modern Speyside distillery that began operations in 2015, constructed by Chivas Brothers (Pernod Ricard) on the historic site of the former Imperial Distillery near Cromdale. Architecturally striking, the facility blends contemporary glass-and-steel design with the spirit of traditional Scottish distilling. Equipped with eight pairs of pot stills, Dalmunach was designed with considerable capacity in mind, primarily to supply malt whisky for Chivas Brothers' blending requirements. Situated along the banks of the River Spey, the distillery draws on Speyside's natural abundance — pure water, fertile barley fields and centuries of distilling knowledge — to craft a spirit that leans toward fruity, floral and gently sweet characteristics. Although single malt releases under the Dalmunach name have been limited, the bottlings that have emerged showcase a mature and expressive character. As one of the newest significant distilleries in one of Scotland's most celebrated whisky regions, Dalmunach is widely regarded as a name to watch for the future of Speyside single malt.
