Cuaba is one of the youngest yet most distinctive brands in the Cuban cigar tradition. Launched in 1996 at a private ceremony in London, the brand takes its name from a native Cuban shrub whose natural resin made it useful as a torch — burnable from both ends — by the island's earliest inhabitants. That very concept inspired Cuaba's defining characteristic: it remains the only Cuban brand whose entire portfolio is made exclusively in the figürado shape, with both ends tapering to a point. This classic silhouette had largely disappeared during the 20th century, and Cuaba was instrumental in reviving it. Handcrafted at the Marianao and El Laguito factories under the Habanos S.A. umbrella, these cigars are filled with premium tobaccos from the legendary Vuelta Abajo region. The smoke offers a medium to full body, with notes of toasted nuts, cedar, and a gentle spice. The harmony between the binder and wrapper delivers a consistently balanced and refined smoking experience.
