Bushmills

Kuzey İrlanda, County Antrim, İrlanda · 1608'den beri

Bushmills holds the distinction of being the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery, its origins tracing back to a royal distilling licence granted by King James I in 1608. Nestled in the village of Bushmills on the rugged Antrim coast of Northern Ireland, the distillery draws its water from the St. Columb's Rill, a tributary of the River Bush, whose clarity is said to be fundamental to the whiskey's character. Bushmills employs triple distillation, the hallmark of Irish whiskey tradition, which imparts a remarkable smoothness and accessibility to the spirit. The range extends from the approachable Original expression to the richly complex 21 Year Old Grand Reserve, matured in Oloroso Sherry casks. Since 2005, the distillery has been part of the Diageo portfolio, yet the craft and heritage that define Bushmills remain deeply intact. The windswept landscape of County Antrim, the centuries-old warehouses, and the unbroken lineage of distillers make this a place where history is not merely recounted but actively produced, one cask at a time.
