Breckenridge Bourbon is crafted at the Breckenridge Distillery, nestled in the heart of the Colorado Rocky Mountains at an elevation of approximately 9,600 feet above sea level. Founded in 2008 by Bryan Nolt, the distillery is recognized as one of the highest-altitude distilleries in the world. The reduced atmospheric pressure at this elevation has a tangible effect on both the distillation process and the maturation of the spirit in the barrel, contributing to the bourbon's distinctly nuanced character. Built on a high-corn mashbill, Breckenridge Bourbon delivers inviting notes of sweet vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch, complemented by gentle oak spice and a touch of nuttiness. The pristine Rocky Mountain snowmelt water used in production lends a soft, creamy mouthfeel that sets it apart from many lowland bourbons.
