Bowmore stands as one of Scotland's oldest distilleries, founded in 1779 on the shores of Loch Indaal on the Isle of Islay. Positioned at the very heart of the island, it has been producing single malt Scotch whisky for well over two centuries, embodying a tradition that feels almost inseparable from the landscape around it. The distillery's legendary No. 1 Vaults, situated below sea level, allow the damp Atlantic air to permeate the maturing casks, adding a subtle maritime quality that is unmistakably Bowmore.
