Ashton is a premium cigar brand founded in 1985 by Robert Levin, a Philadelphia-based tobacconist with a lifelong passion for fine cigars. Seeking to create a blend that would stand apart in a rapidly growing market, Levin partnered with the legendary Carlos Fuente Sr. of Arturo Fuente fame, establishing production in the fertile Cibao Valley of the Dominican Republic. The tobaccos used in Ashton's blends are aged for several years before rolling, lending the cigars their characteristic smoothness and complexity. The lineup spans a wide spectrum, from the approachable classic Ashton Cabinet Selection to the fuller-bodied and highly acclaimed VSG (Virgin Sun Grown), which features a sun-grown Ecuadorian wrapper of remarkable richness.
