Aberfeldy
Highland, Scotland · 1898'den beri
Aberfeldy Distillery was established in 1898 by John Dewar & Sons on the banks of the Pitilie Burn, a tributary of the River Tay, in the heart of Perthshire, Scotland. The distillery takes its name from the nearby town of Aberfeldy, historically associated with traces of gold found in local streams — a detail that lends the brand its distinctive golden identity, symbolised by the red squirrel on its label. Aberfeldy single malts are quintessentially Highland in character: rich, honeyed sweetness underpinned by soft fruit, vanilla, and a gentle, waxy texture. The 12-year-old expression serves as a welcoming gateway to the style, while older and special releases reward those seeking greater depth and complexity. Today, the distillery operates under the stewardship of Bacardi and continues to produce the malt heart of the celebrated Dewar's blended Scotch whisky. The site also functions as a visitor centre, offering an engaging window into both the craft of whisky-making and the storied history of the Dewar family legacy.
